1st Midsomer Norton Scout Group
Welcome to the 1st Midsomer Norton Scout Group
To help the young people of Midsomer Norton and district achieve their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potential as individuals, as responsible citizens and as members of their local, national and international communities.
We are a busy Scout Group located in the town of Midsomer Norton near Bath. We are part of the biggest youth organisation in the world, with 28 Million members. In the UK alone there are 500,000 adult and youth members, in 24,000 Colonies, Packs, Troops, Units and Networks. We meet in a purpose built Headquarters on Radstock Road. We currently have over 120 young people involved in either our Beaver Colonies, one of two Cub Packs or two Scout Troops. We also provide a home base for the SAXONS Explorer Unit.
We run a fully co-educational programme of Training, Camps, Sailing, Canoeing and other Adventurous Activities. We also have our own Campsite near Wellow. We currently have a waiting list in some sections, but if you want to find our more, come along one evening and see what we do, or contact our Acting Group Scout Leader. Jon Stell
We actively encourage parents to come along and get involved in activities, and are always happy to meet adults who may wish to become involved in Scouting in no matter how small a role.
